every child has the right to be a child
Children today seem to grow up faster and faster, and as a Mum we know the thought of your kids missing out on the unique adventure of childhood is a worrying one. We also understand that being a Mum can be a bit of a juggling act and that it sometimes seems like there aren’t enough hours in the day to invest in exciting experiences for your kids. We’re launching an inspiring campaign called “every child has the right”, which is all about helping you give your children a childhood to remember.
This year the key focus of our campaign is unstructured or
'free' play – encouraging children to explore, learn and investigate on their own terms. Not only is it fantastic fun, but it also helps children to develop important social and problem-solving skills, as well as giving them a chance to be independent and express themselves.

Persil Free Play Initiative 2008
This year the focus is on unstructured or ‘free’ play – the sort of activities where children can explore, learn and investigate for themselves. We want to see kids throughout the UK having a great time and really learning and developing through unstructured play – so we hope you and your little one will get out there, have fun, and make some fantastic memories. It all culminates in Persil proudly supporting
Playday, the annual celebration of children’s right to play, on 6 August 2008. Whether it’s building a fort, doing cartwheels, face-painting or a game of cops and robbers, we want your kids to have the chance to enjoy all kinds of fun activities and get some fresh air!
